Procurement and Logistics Manager - International

CKE Restaurants, Inc. a leader in the quick serve restaurant industry and the parent company of the brands Carl's Jr. and Hardee's has an immediate opening for a Manager, International Procurement and Logistics to work from our office in St. Louis. This position will report to the VP of International. This successful candidate will manage all aspects of purchasing, logistics, distribution and supply chain for CKE Restaurant's Inc. international business. Negotiates and evaluates contracts to ensure the most efficient, cost effective supply of approved products are delivered to CKE's international restaurants in a timely manner. Procures food, packaging, cleaning supplies along with certain services and supplies at the lowest cost and highest quality to ensure compliance with all applicable specification requirements. Works with CKE and our International franchise community to negotiate and award business to appropriate suppliers utilizing binding contracts to ensure all aspects of terms such as price points, delivery terms, requirements, period of performance timelines are properly documented. Works with approved US and foreign vendors to ensure compliance with CKE policy and foreign country import, quality, documentation testing and safety requirements. Manages distributor relationships for U.S. export as well as foreign market distribution to our restaurants.Job Requirements
- A 4 year degree in a related field and/or commensurate experience
- Detailed knowledge of various food and packaging commodity markets
- Detailed knowledge of international distribution and supply chain dynamics in QSR
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of international travel - up to 40%
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook MS applications.
