Procurement Specialist

Purpose: Automotive Leader in car audio and electronics in Los Angeles is seeking an Procurement Specialist.

Responsibilities:

-Serves as the primary liaison between suppliers, both domestic and international.
-Negotiates pricing and delivery with suppliers for existing and new products.
-Monitors supplier?s progress in developing new products.
-Issues purchase orders in support of retail design and production requirements.
-Establishes and maintains communication with supplier representatives in order to gather updates on technology, pricing, delivery, and samples.
-Prepares bid specifications.
-Issues bid requests and reviews quotations.
-Provides updated information to Finance/Accounting for the supplier master file.
-Maintains records of transactions involving purchased materials and supplies.
-Works closely with Product Planning and Sales to determine material requirements while insuring just in time delivery.
-Identifies and coordinates qualified sources and recommended suppliers
-Develops, negotiates and administers subcontracts that meet authorized requirements.

Qualifications/Skills

-Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
-A minimum of two years experience in one or more of the following areas: Procurement/Purchasing, Production, Program Management or Engineering
-Bilingual skills (English / Mandarin) - must be able to read, write and speak fluently.
-An advanced understanding of 12-volt technologies including car audio and multimedia.
-Basic understanding of business practices and procedures.
-Knowledge of PC technologies is preferred.
