Procurement Analyst

PDS Technical Services is a provider of contract staffing to Fortune 100 - 1000 companies in the Engineering and IT arenas.
We are seeking a Procurement AnalystLocation:Shelton, CTDescription -Identifying sources for raw materials, manufactured components, engineering services, and other commodities. -Researching marketplace dynamics and developing expertise in assigned commodity areas. -Supporting due diligence activities in preparation for supplier negotiations and contract execution. -Contribute to the development of Requests for Proposals and Requests for Quotes and support the bidding process. -Ensuring that suppliers deliver high quality, competitively priced goods and services on time and in the right location. -Gathering, organizing, and using procurement data to support decision-making and strategy development. -Collaborating with supply chain planning operations to ensure that suppliers can effectively plan their production activities. -Work with Commodity Engineers to identify lower cost ways to deliver the same or better capabilities to customers.Job Requirements
Candidate Prerequisites: -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience -Strong knowledge of MS word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access -Excellent Verbal and written communication skills -Demonstrated ability to organize and plan work to meet deadlines -0-3 years applicable experience in a corporate or government setting
