Appetizers And, Inc., a leading specialty food manufacturer is seeking a Cost Analyst. Responsibilities include; Review and analyze the entire daily message & MPS Schedule report (perpetual inventory report) and decide the products and the quantities that need to be ordered for the assigned vendors. Create those purchase orders in the new JDE System within the company established dollar limits. Review last minute specialty products that require raw materials and generate purchase orders after checking physical inventory for needed items and determining what materials will be needed to order. Determine those quantities on hand that are questionable and assist with auditing those counts; either taking an actual inventory count or working with Shipping and Receiving to perform the count. Correct and Input the count into its proper location. Telephone, fax, or e-mail orders for raw materials, supplies, sundries, office supplies and other purchases as per company policy and guidelines. Familiarize with the Buyer & Purchasing Manager responsibilities; cover their responsibilities in their absence or vacations. Work on any special projects that are assigned by the purchasing manager. Assist Purchasing Manager with the implementation, the set-up and entries of generic (non-inventoried) purchase orders through the JDE system. Be present at work as scheduled and in a timely manner. Required Background: High School diploma or equivalent; or equivalent years of related experience. Knowledge of automated inventory systems and purchasing practices, preferably in a manufacturing environment or warehouse background. Proficient in computers and pleasant speaking voice for telephone contact with vendors. Proficiency in math and in working with numeric figures, calculations, and conversions.
