Indirect Strategic Sourcing Manager - Texas

North American Strategic Commodity Managers-
Dallas Texas ( INDIRECT) and Other South Eastern State locations,( METALS, MACHINING, PACKAGING, REFRIGERATION, RAW MATERIALS.

Provide Strategic direction to consolidate multiple N. American manufacturing operations purchasing requirements FOR MRO AND INDIRECT.

Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing spend profile of Clients spend,, as well as conducting market research, and understanding and analyzing market forces of assigned categories. Other responsibilities will include creating strategic sourcing plans, managing RFP and negotiation process, developing supplier scorecard objectives and measuring supplier performance accordingly. The candidate will also successfully identify new sourcing opportunities and develop 2nd source options, rationalize supplier base, and manage long-term business relationships with supplier base to meet business objectives such as deflation, productivity, and working capital. In addition, the position will provide full support to business locations for supplier price, delivery, and quality issues.

3A. Commodity Expertise and spend for each, INDIRECT OR MECHANICAL CONTROLS OR METALS / MACHINING, i.e., steel, castings, mechanical components, electronic components, electrical components, Capital equipment, packaging, raw materials, Chemicals, etc.
4. Total number of Plant locations you consolidated requirements for in a Commodity Management Role.
5. Low cost country sourcing experience; Countries and spend
6. Experience with SAP ( yes or no)
7. Your education level ( technical college degree or non Technical 4 year degree) Minimum

Requirements: BA/BS in Engineering, Business or related field/equivalent experience, with 5 or more years of experience in one or more of the following: operations management, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain management. The candidate must possess proven leadership skills, ability to motivate, and influence at all levels across the organization, as well as solid communication, interpersonal, and team building skills. The successful candidate will also have strong negotiation, commercial, and financial skill set, as well as strong program management skills.
