Associated Grocers of Florida is a full line grocery supplier to many leading independent retailers and is a major factor in the southeastern and Caribbean US grocery distribution system.

With over 22,000 grocery items including the Private Label products to choose from, Associated Grocers offers grocery-related businesses a simple, cost-effective way to manage retailer needs. In addition, we offer members a host of related services that help manage everything from rush orders and reclamation to data processing and advertising.

Responsibilities:

Minimum of 5 to 7 years Grocery buying experience a must
Must demonstrate proficiency in buying items; eye for product
Strong negotiation skills
Strong vendor relationships
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Must be multi-task oriented and work in a fast pace environment
Item selections for advertising
Vendor line responsibility
Meet with vendors and negotiate deals, advertising and special programs (i.e. Food Shows, Grand Opening, etc.)
Understand F.O.B. shipping and freight
High math aptitude
