Commodity Buyer

This position is comprised of: 70% Buyer, 25% Project Manager, and 5% Purchasing Administrator. Responsibilities include: processing purchase orders, performing reconciliation functions, and sourcing products/services; acting as a customer service agent for internal clients; working closely with and supporting the Senior Buyer on annual category initiatives and strategic plans; working with Senior Buyer on product selection/sourcing and vendor negotiations; assisting with coordinating schedules and appointments; and assisting with administrative functions (e.g. answering telephones and other clerical duties).





JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements include: 2+ years experience, with work in a back office environment preferred; ownership mentality, competitive spirit, high energy and ability to pay attention to detail; customer service skills; analytical skills (ability to compile data and format to drive decisions/"what-if" discussions); ability to multi-task (e.g. move to another task before completing the first due to shifting priorities); adequate oral and written communication skills; organizational skills; with experience with e-purchasing as a plus. MUST HAVE 4-YEAR BS/BA DEGREE. Client is not offering relocation at this time.
