Business Unit Manager...purchasing

Our client is a rapidly growing and expanding automotive tier 1 supplier.

In this search we're looking for an experienced Business Unit Manager with Purchasing & Supply Chain experience to lead a team of purchasing professional responsible for a wide variety of production and non-production parts.

Title: Business Unit Manager Description:


* Supervises buyers, analysts, project managers and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and meet the required specifications.

* Develops and delivers sourcing strategies and annual savings plans for plants in North America with a global overview.

* Ensures implementation of supplier and other sourcing changes.


Requirements:

* Bachelors degree is required. Masters degree a plus.

* 5-8 years experience in purchasing positions of increasing responsibility.

* Experience managing people a must.

* Experience purchasing materials including steel, rubber, chemicals and components.

* Must have strong command of Microsoft office, Excel, PowerPoint and access.

* Must be able to work in a matrix organization.

* Must be able to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills at all levels.

* Must have strong negotiation skills.
