These positions provide direct patient care and support activities which build and maintain an Eskaton Rehab Center of Excellence. Aides in the restoration and enhancement of independent function in those individuals whose independent living status has been compromised by illness and/or injury.
REQUIREMENTS
For Physical TherapistBachelors or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy and a current California Physical Therapy license and CPR certification.2 - 3 years experience in a skilled nursing facility rehab environment or equivalent preferred. Rehab experience required.
For Occupational TherapistBachelors or Master's in Occupational Therapy and a current California Occupational Therapy license and CPR certification.2 - 3 years experience in a skilled nursing facility rehab environment preferred. Experience in adult neurologic, cardiac, and/or general rehabilitation is preferred. Rehab experience required.Some travel in town to our other Eskaton facilities may be required if a need arises.
For COTA
Graduate of an AOTA approved Occupational Therapist Assistant program. Associate degree in Occupational Therapy required. Successful completion of certification process/state licensure as required. Current CPR certification, if required. Needs of facility may require that COTA have a current state driver’s license.One to two years experience preferred in a skilled nursing facility rehab environment or equivalent.Must have an understanding of the principles employed in Occupational Therapy. Must be skilled in Occupational Therapy treatment planning and techniques. Knowledge of medical terminology. Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
For PTA
Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Must be state approved by examination. Current CPR certification, is required. Some facilities may require a current state driver’s license.One to two years experience preferred in a skilled nursing facility rehab environment or equivalent.Must have knowledge of the use of prosthetic devices, ambulatory aides, assistive and resistive devices, and training. Knowledge of medical terminology. Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
For Speech Language Pathologist
MA/MS Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Current CPR certification, if required. Successful completion of a certification process and California license as required by state and facility regulations. Needs of facility may require that a Speech-Language Pathology has a current state driver’s license.Some experience in a skilled nursing facility rehab environment or equivalent preferred.Must have an understanding of the principles employed in Speech-Language Pathology. Must have skills in Speech-Language Pathology treatment planning and techniques. Knowledge of pertinent medical terminology. Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
