Manager Job - GREAT OPPORTUNITY for a degreed Engineer who is interested in getting into oil and gas well workover operations which includes trucking and workover rig operations. Two regions are open; one in South Texas - Corpus Christie, TX and one in Rocky Mountain area-Grand Junction, CO. This is a Manager in Training position planned to result in training for the Area Manager position. Progression is Supervisor / Operations Manager / Area Manager / General Manager / Vice President . The M.I.T. is responsible for learning supervision concepts within the operational and administrative activities of the oilfield servicing within certain geographic perimeters. The position reports to the Operations Manager or District Manager and is responsible for learning the concepts of general supervision to the areas first line supervisors and clerical staff and should have a good working relationship with the district staff support groups. The position requires learning the concepts of coordination and cooperation with other operating managers and staff and frequent contact with the owners and/or operators of independent and major oil and gas companies in the assigned geographic areas. REQUIRES an Engineering degree with 2 years of engineering experience. A working knowledge of oilfield service related equipment, materials, downhole techniques and terminology is preferred. Ability to communicate and negotiate with individual customers and close sales. Ability to supervise and motivate subordinates. Knowledge of accident prevention/loss control, regulatory compliance and safety policies and procedures is preferred. This position requires EXTENSIVE OVERNIGHT TRAVEL during the first 2 years. Relocation available. Working conditions for this position may involve exposure to varying environmental conditions. This may include chemicals, gases, cold/heat, noise, dampness, dust, fumes, radiation and heights.
