From high-tech development sales and service to financial accounting, to challenging information technology and upper-level management, our team-oriented philosophy includes more than 20,000 employees throughout the world.This position is responsible for the early detection and identification of the following types of fraud: subscription, cloning, tumbling, payment and agent fraud, as well as bad debt issues, resulting in the reduction of loss incurred by ALLTEL. The Investigator monitors profiling software and activation system for patterns and activity that may indicate fraud and subsequently allow, limit or deny service. The Investigator will also review leads from high use reports, returned mail, partner carriers and other internal sources. The Investigator will conduct thorough and in-depth investigations on these leads involving research and utilization of multiple fraud detection tools as well as victim customer interviews. The Investigator is responsible for answering incoming calls to the fraud queues and fraud hotlines. The Investigator will provide management with fraud tracking information and recommend innovative solutions in our quest to fight and contain fraud. The Investigator will identify fraud losses on individual and related accounts and correctly post credits as warranted. The Investigator may interact with Law Enforcement officers, assist in security audits and fraud awareness training.Essential Job Functions:
Fraud Investigations- Review profiler and various reports, hotline, answer calls, switch research, track trends, work research requests and key credits.
Special Projects- Security audits, fraud awareness training, assist manager and regional investigator preparing cases for Law Enforcement.
Administrative Duties- Case management, record retention, archived files, send out identity fraud packets and subscription fraud affidavits.Knowledge Skills and Responsibilities:
Strong advanced analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
Knowledge of computer applications (Preferably software systems used by ALLTEL)
Ability to organize, prioritize and work independently as well as part of a TEAM.
Must be detail oriented
Strong communication skills (Ability to easily communicate effectively, orally and in writing)Minimum Annual Pay: $29,200.00
Minimum Hourly Pay: $14.04There is no relocation package offered for this position.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:High School diploma. 1-3 years of college or business school- Justice studies or Admin of Justice preferred.Experience:1-2 years previous wireless and/or loss prevention, law enforcement, investigation experience. Spanish speaking strongly preferred.
