IT Security Analyst III

General Qualifications for the IT Security Analyst would include:
Excellent attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Project management skills with the ability to deliver to aggressive deadlines
5+ years network security industry experience
Education:BS in CS, Infosec, IT or equivalent experience

SANS Security Essentials (GSEC), Security +, or CISSP certification desiredPrimary Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day security administrative expertise for multiple platforms and monitor daily access

Assist user community with security questions and access problems. Also, evaluate risk and help customers assess security requirements
Analyze potential security problems and take corrective actions
Participate in security administration process improvement projects
Assist with security related documentation
Assist with security systems maintenance to include updates, upgrades, new implementations, evaluations
Performs security monitoring and analysis of systems and networks to include following data and packet flows, watching IDS, IPS, various logs and monitors
Perform various security related duties as assigned by managerExperience Necessary:
Hands-on experience with advanced TCP/IP and network troubleshooting, WAN and LAN architectures, routing protocols, high-availability solutions, firewall security policies, content filtering systems, Microsoft Windows security services, Syslogs, Patch Management, Wireless technologies, Encryptions, Vulnerability Assessments tools, VPN technologies and intrusion detection/prevention solutions
Solid Knowledge and experience with networks (e.g. TCP/IP, ICMP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and application (e.g. HTTP, SMTP, FTP, etc.) protocols
Hands-on experience with a variety of protocols/products such as MS SQL Server, Internet Information Services (IIS), Weblogic, Access Components (MDAC), Windows Server 2003, Active Directory, COM+, XP and Unix/Linux is a plus
Hands-on experience with industry leading security vendor platforms, including products from TrendMicro, Check Point, ISS, Juniper , Cisco and TippingPoint
