City Planner- southaven, Mississippi $35-$45K per year Qualifications: Education- Must have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in one of the following related fields: Planning, Geography, or Engineering. Knowledge- Must have general knowledge concerning: Understanding site plans and subdivision layouts, Ability to scale out design, Identifying different building materials, Identifying different types of trees, shrubs, grass, etc., Geographical Information Systems (ability to edit layers, revise info. and create new data sets) Experience- Must have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in one of the following areas: Land expediting, Public Speaking or Client representation, Planning on a public or private level, dealing with land development and associated builders/developers *Applicant must be able to work some nights due to meetings or conferences. Applicant must also be prepared to attend some of the meeting or conferences out of town as needed.
