Business Development Project Leader

Will be responsible for making high-level marketing calls (cold and pre-planned) with potential NASA, DOD, Commercial, and Contractor customers; developing effective Prime and subcontractor teaming relationships leveraging complimentary roles and responsibilities based on customer requirements; developing and presenting formal Pursuit/No Pursuit and Bid/No Bid presentations for opportunities of Interest to USA senior management at the CEO/COO level:
Determination of Customer Most Important Requirements (MIRs),
Development of requirements-capabilities matrices for proposed teaming relationships,
Development of opportunity-specific win strategy, themes and objectives,
Competitive Assessments of USA team win probability versus potential competitors,
Justification of USA Capture Team resource requirements (personnel and financial)Candidate will also be responsible for developing and updating formal Capture Plans for identified opportunities; organizing and leading cross-company Capture Teams within approved schedule and budget, and for approved Pursuits, perform project cost-performance tracking and reporting, policy direction, financial planning, and Long Range Business Plan (LRBP) inputs/updates. All job duties and responsibilities will be effectively accomplished with minimal supervision required.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (ABET) plus 15 years demonstrated business development experience is firm requirement or need not apply. An additional degree in Business/Business Management is highly desired.
;Demonstrated professional business development experience with intimate knowledge of the business development process, space operations experience and past documented proposal development/management experience on major space/space-related systems;
Documented education/courses from the Project Management Institute and/or other business development training houses highly desired;
Firm and demonstrated understanding of the technology-development-operations relationships for major systems and a broad understanding of current human space flight (HSF) capabilities (and shortfalls) and associated space operations mission needs for future exploration;
Prior project management experience and superior communication (verbal and interpersonal), leadership, teambuilding skills.
