Covance is growing. It's a great time to join us!We are currently seeking a Technical Manager, Pharm Analysis for our Madison, Wisconsin facility. As a Technical Manager, you will:

Manage a staff of approximately 10 analytical scientists in support of Bioanalytical method development projects for Covance clients.
Provide technical guidance and assistance to scientific and operations staff as necessary.
Participate in training of instrument operators and scientists in proper operation on the LC/MS/MS application.
Serve as the main contact regarding methods development and troubleshooting, ensuring perfect transfer of methods.
Act as a research scientist, in a team work setting, for technical direction on complex projects.

Qualifications
5+ years of experience managing staff.
PhD in Chemistry or equivalent degree, plus 5 to 10 years related experience working with biological samples.
Pharmaceutical background in Drug Disposition and experience working with Micromass and Sciex LC/MS/MS is beneficial.

Hands-on experience planning & executing the profiling of extractables & development of methods to study leachable compounds from pharmaceutical container/closure systems. Must have a proven track record of perfomring extractable profiling studies, identification of extracted chemical entities, developing packaging leachable methods and evaluating the correlation between the extractable & leachable studies.At Covance, we help make the miracles of medicine a reality.
