Specialty Pharmacy Account Manager
HCI Specialty Pharmacy (HCISP) is a provider of specialty biopharmaceutical products, ancillary supplies and services. We take a focused approach to the specific needs of these medical communities by developing innovative solutions that are dedicated to the treatment of people diagnosed with chronic illnesses such as autoimmune disorders, primary immune deficiencies and hemophilia.Description and responsibilities:Prioritizes accounts to comply with the sales strategy and makes contact with appropriate management levels within client organizationsExercises total sales and profit responsibility for targeted accounts with the primary goal of bringing in new business
Acts as a primary liaison between the account and the SP location to ensure the highest level of customer service possibleMaintains current account files and other records with respect to current and prospective customers in accordance with company instructions and requirements
Develops and maintains contacts with potential patient referral sources including, but not limited to, social workers, pharma reps, nurses, doctors or any other hospital personnel in the designated marketing region.Actively searches for new referral sources, such as physician practices or service organizations that could increase sales for HCI Specialty Pharmacy.Develops and maintains effective relationships with insurance and managed care entities in targeted market.Assists payors with outcome capabilities and utilization data from HCIPrepares/delivers sales presentations which effectively address clients' needs and follows up to provide additional information, answer questions, resolve outstanding issues and close salesGathers/organizes information on targeted accounts for use in proposal/contract pricing and service improvements.
Manages sales time and resources effectively and according to plan
Maintains working relationships with HCI management staff to ensure a thorough understanding of Company products/services.
Complies with all company policies with specific to HCI as well as policies which may be implemented from time to timeRenders assistance with or perform additional duties and responsibilities at the request of management.
REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, and health related science (e.g., nursing, pharmacy, etc.) or the equivalent.
Experience Requirements:Minimum of five years health care or related service industry sales experienceBroad knowledge of the insurance, case management, self-insured and managed care marketplace and marketing/sales techniques required
Creation of clinical oriented materials for marketing and sales effectiveness training purposesA strong bottom-line orientation with good analytical skills and business instincts, and the confidence and credibility to work well with operating managementProven sales track record indicating accomplishment and success.Additional Requirements:Employee must possess and maintain a valid drivers license in the appropriate state of residenceEmployee must possess and maintain an automobile insurance policy in compliance with HCI SP policy.The position is required to drive on a regular basisPersonal Characteristics:Highest level of professional integrity and honestyExcellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and communication skillsA results-oriented self-starter, with a high energy level and a desire for professional growth with the companyHands-on styleCapable of assimilating new concepts and adapting to changeTeam player; loyal to corporate goals and objectivesPassion for excellence and a strong sense of urgencyComputer system literacyPhysical Demands:The position requires considerable daily travel
