Job Description:
The Events Coordinator will support the marketing efforts and other key initiatives of the Ernst & Young Global Pharmaceutical Center. This position develops, coordinates and executes internal and external events and conferences in key regions - Americas, Europe, and Asia - for both the internal pharmaceutical professional network and key clients and target executives in the pharmaceutical industry. This involves program development, communications, resource management (e.g. vendors, speakers, etc), marketing collateral and thought leadership development, and logistics coordination. Events may include roundtables, client presentations, business-related sponsorships and dinners, and off-site team building. Responsibilities: 1. Participates in the development and execution of marketing initiatives for the Global Pharmaceutical Center to heighten awareness of the firm’s industry knowledge and service offerings. 2. Manages multiple internal and external relationships key to a successful event or initiative. These external relationships may include internal marketing teams in other countries, vendors and sponsors as well as speakers and panelists 3. Manages all logistical matters related to a successful event. This may include but is not limited to site selection/inspection, rooming lists, banquets, speakers, gifts, giveaways, off-site coordination needs (e.g. transportation concerns, mailing lists, activities/recreation and marketing communications, and tracking follow-up activities to measure results of the events. 4. Contributes to contract negotiations to ensure quality services/products from vendors for programs/events). 5. Supports the development and management of the event’s budget and assists in tracking expenditures in order to operate within the approved guidelines. Ensures costs are controlled while planning a high quality event for participants. 6. Serves as a liaison with area business development events team to coordinate Office of the Chairman account events. 7. May design follow up materials (e.g. surveys) and report-outs to evaluate and improve event planning.Ernst & Young LLP, an equal opportunity employer, values the diversity of our work force and the knowledge of our people.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree Approximately 3 - 5 years of experience; minimum of 2 years event management experience with a strong preference for international event planning experience. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple programs and/or events at one time Strong organizational and leadership skills are required to be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Strong analytic and problem solving skills. Must have excellent written, verbal and oral communication skills
