Research Specialist

Smith Hanley is currently seeking a Research Specialist for the Delaware area.Major ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will work in the compound management laboratory to process compound request and prepare compound samples for our customers. Duties include operation of automated robotic system for solubilizing reformatting and distributing compounds, production of assay plate from our high throughput screening library, using bar-coded plate inventory and registration processes, compound inventory maintaining and tracking, products QA/QC, etc. The individual will work closely with our customers as well as staff members.Experience/Min Requirements: At least 2 years of general laboratory experience is required (will consider combination of education/experience). Knowledge of compound management and handling is highly desirable. Previous experience with compound handling and automated liquid handling systems would be a significant plus. The successful candidate must be proficient in MS Word, Excel.
