Quality Engineer

Responsibilities: The Quality Engineer provides quality engineering support in the areas of: new or revised component or product testing, failure analysis on field or in-house failures, and Corrective and Preventative Action. Other duties include: As a team member of new product teams, actively participate in developing thorough but efficient qualification/validation protocols for new or revised components or products. Perform or oversee the technicians that perform the testing per those protocols. Write or review the test reports with the results of the testing. Investigate or oversee the technicians that investigate specific customer complaints or production failures to identify the root cause. Summarize the results of the investigations, and facilitate review meetings with the appropriate groups to determine Corrective and Preventative Actions for the issues found. Perform vendor and/or internal audits as required, and work with those who were audited to obtain corrective actions for any non-conformities found. Develops proper sampling call outs, and applies statistics for adequate control at Receiving Inspection. Develop, update, and maintain procedures as necessary to maintain compliance with all applicable regulations.
