Pharmacy Care Manager

Dominick's Division

The Dominick's Division Pharmacy Department, located in Oak Brook, IL a full time opening for a Pharmacy Care Manager, (PCM). This position's current responsibilities include all operating areas of the Dominick's Division.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Implement approved Pharmacy Care (PC) and Disease State Management (DSM) services in Company pharmacies.
* Assist in the Development of new programs that can be implemented across all Safeway Companies.
* Train, develop and monitor Pharmacy Care Pharmacists at store level to effectively implement Pharmacy Care programs into their practice sites.
* Manage all Pharmacy Care Pharmacists to ensure proper licensing and certification.
* Execute and manage existing and newly developed Pharmacy Care programs.
* Track and quantify costs and revenue for Pharmacy Care programs.
* Ensure proper Compliance at store level as it relates to:
* Established Company Policies and Procedures including Pharmacy Care Policies and Procedures.
* Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) compliance.
* Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) and The Companies Exposure Control Plan compliance.
* Compliance with all Pharmacy Board regulations in the states of responsibility as it relates to PC and DSM.
* Work closely with the Division Recruiting Manager & Colleges of Pharmacy to:
- Create rewarding experiential sites for Interns and Externs at Company
Pharmacies in the PC and DSM fields.
- Develop Build relationships with professors and administrative staff to improve the Companies visibility at the college(s) for Pharmacy Care and Disease State Management functions.
- Identify new pharmacists with a focus for providing Pharmacy Care.
- Promote The Company Pharmacies and Pharmacy Care Services.
- Participate in health fairs and recruiting where Pharmacy Care can be an integral feature.
- Build relationships with managed care plans and physicians offices to obtain referrals for PC services.
- Identify vendors to support opportunities with Pharmacy Care initiatives and coordinate with the Companies National Sales Manager and Regional Pharmacy Managers.

REQUIREMENTS
Skills and experience: The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated:
* Registered Pharmacist required, PharmD preferred.
* Disease state management certification.
* Community residency experience.
* One year in community pharmacy management or equivalent.
* Excellent interpersonal, communications, organizational, and time management skills.
* Good computer skills in Microsoft Office.
* Excellent problem solving abilities and attention to details.
* Leadership skills, a positive enthusiastic attitude and able to work with minimal supervision.
* Travel Requirements ­ 25%
