Job Description:
Oversee and guide the clinical development of Walgreens and Walgreen Health Initiatives Medication Therapy Management strategy and clinical development for programs mandated by the Medicare Modernization Act. Programs were initially focused on geriatric care, but have expanded to include the entire commercial PBM population. Programs are implemented in various settings - including community pharmacies and through pharmacist-based call centers. Contribute to overall clinical services department by identifying opportunities to interlink MTM programs with existing clinical programs to enhance sales opportunities, value to clients and participants, and establish best practices.

Responsibilities:
Strive for continuous quality improvement by creating additions to the existing MTM program and reviewing outcomes reports to identify areas for improvement and expansion. Work with the MTM Operations team to effectively implement programs across various settings including call centers, community pharmacies, and by mail. Collaborate with the Health Outcomes Team to establish proper metrics to assess the value of the MTM programs and identify opportunities for publishing or presenting outcomes to both internal and external audiences. Maintain working relationships with members of the marking, legal, sales, and the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee physicians for continual program support. Serve as chair or co-chair of the MTM Subcommittee. Attend geriatric, Medicare, and MTM focused national conferences to expand knowledge of emerging topics.

Qualifications:
PharmD and managerial experience preferred; Community pharmacy experience is a plus; Apititude and leadership for clinical pharmacy business development with respect to value of pharmacy services and pharmaceuticals, a driven attitude, and team leader are preferred qualities; Ability to conceptualize and evaluate alternative solutions is a must; Strong verbal and written communication skills appropriate for various audiences (e.g., patients, physicians, benefit administrators, medical directors, sales) and interpersonal skills; Requires strong clinical knowledge base, clinical research, analytical and problem solving skills; Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work independently, creatively, and adapt to a changing work environment; Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills.
