The Investigational Drug Service (IDS) is a progressive area within the Department of Pharmacy that assists researchers with managing various investigational agents associated with investigational drug trials. The University of North Carolina Hospitals is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Clinician to work in our Investigational Drug Service. The candidate will assist in providing investigational pharmacy services to both inpatient and outpatient subjects. The primary responsibilities of this position will include the coordination of study logistics with principal investigators, preparation of study guidelines, inventory control, and the dispensing of investigational agents. In addition, the successful candidate will provide staff education as it relates to protocols and serve as a liaison to other pharmacy and ancillary support.

PHARMACY INPATIENTA $5000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.
Full-time, Days, Evenings, Weekends, Rotating
This position will work from 9pm to 7am each night for 7 nights on and 7 nights off in the central inpatient pharmacy.

This position will work the rotating shift and every 3rd weekend.

PHARMACY CLINICAL SPECIALIST / COMPLIANCE ANALYST: This pharmacist position will provide leadership to the Department of Pharmacy in the areas of Regulatory Affairs Management (NCBOP, JCAHO, DFS, etc.), policy development, and Performance Improvement. The position will also develop and oversee the use of databases for evidence based decision making, have a clinical practice, and will precept students and residents.
