Covance offers you a fresh new way to use your expertise!As potential drugs progress to clinical testing, the initial human trials (first-in-human trials) provide a preliminary evaluation of drug safety, tolerance and pharmacokinetics. As the drug candidate progresses through clinical development, additional clinical pharmacology studies, such as drug-drug interaction, food effect and special population studies, will be conducted.With state-of-the-art Clinical Research Units, Covance has helped hundreds of drug development companies progress their compounds from preclinical to proof-of-concept studies. Each Clinical Research Unit has a dedicated team of professionals, including physicians, scientists, project managers, nurses and recruiters - whose mission it is to bring the miracles of medicine to market sooner.Our Clinical research team is critical to this mission - to help bring medicines to patients in need.In this position you will assist the research coordinators and lab supervisor in the performance of Phase 1 clinical trials.Responsibilities & opportunities:
Responsible for performing related medical tasks that provide quality care and data collection.
Must allow for a flexible schedule.
Safety team members will assist in the training of new PRN Phase 1 staff as well as training current staff on new study-specific clinic events.
Ensure the preparedness of the Phase 1 Unit.
Must be self-motived yet also able to work in a team environment with a strong attention to detail.Qualifications
Current LVN, Paramedic, or RN licensure to practice in the state of California.
If not covered by license, must be California State certified in phlebotomy.
CPR certification, ALCS certification.
