Drug Safety Scientist

Responsibilities: We are seeking a Drug Safety Scientist (DSS) for a permanent position in Wallingford, CT. This position will commence with our client (a large pharmaceutical company). As the DSS, you will provide technical and product safety for physicians, including analysis and interpretation of safety issues arising from clinical trials and postmarketing surveillance. You will participate in the evaluation of serious adverse event reports from clinical trials, and postmarketing sources and scientific literature. Additionally, you will author or coordinate the preparation of aggregate safety reports such as Periodic Safety Update Reports, Periodic Adverse Drug Event Reports, Quarterly Safety Summaries, Quarterly SUSAR Reports, and Annual Safety Reports, and Risk Management or Pharmacovigilance Plans. You will also assist with the writing of responses to adhoc safety queries, and safety sections of product labels.
