Director of Pharmacy acute hospital and clinicsThe Director is the Pharmacy will direct this 17.5 FTE, centralized inpatient and outpatient pharmacy. Our hospital is located within a sparsely populated farming community deeply rooted in rural life.
DutiesWill include all professional and technical aspects of departmental operations, including IV admixture program, medication, inventory reduction systems and delivery of systems to ensure safe, progressive, state-of-the-art operations.
Skilled with acute care hospital and active clinical settings. Is responsible for meeting JCAHO and other regulatory agencies requirements/ standards, complying with corporate policy and procedures. Responsible for the planning, organizing, staffing and directing functions to ensure the effective operation of the Department.
Functions in cooperation with the leadership team in developing plans, policies and procedures to efficiently and effectively meet the objective of providing quality.The incumbent will foster, enhance, and promote pharmaceutical care by educating, role modeling, participating in quality assessment and continuous quality improvement programs, and other duties.
An essential aspect of this position is the appropriate control of inventory and effective and efficient use of pharmaceuticals through implementing appropriate clinical programs and monitoring medication use.Requires: Pharm D of MPharm. State of California License preferred
2-5 year of Acute care Pharmacy Experience
Pharmacy or Master's Degree in Pharmacy preferred.Member of the American Society of Healthcare Pharmacists (ASHP), California Society of Healthcare Pharmacists (CSHP).Salary Low to Mid 100’s DOE sign on bonus plus relocation assistance available.
