Title Assistant/Order Expeditor

Title Assistant Responsibilities Receive order for title insurance or escrow/closing services
Gather all data necessary to open new order
Enter order into the system and generate order number
Contact clients to resolve questions regarding order
Create file folder
Determine order complexity, resource availability, and service level
Review the existing workload
Deliver files to the examiner or title officer
Scan appropriate title documents into file
Create hyperlinks in documents to appropriate title exceptions
Deliver completed work product to customer via email or other electronic meansMinimum Qualifications
Basic knowledge of real estate related services and investing and lending practices
Basic knowledge of title insurance produc tion, including searching, examining, preliminary underwriting, final underwrit ing, closing, and post-closing procedures
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated decision making skills
Strong analytical and reasoning abilities
Ability to plan, manage, organize, and prioritize the work assignments given by othersPreferred Qualifications
Associate or college degree with three to five years of experience in any combina tion of title searching, abstrac ting, un derwriting, and examination, and with some real estate law courses, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
