Software Configuration Management

Purpose: Our client on Pleasanton is seeking a Software Configuration Management Specialist for a 4-6 month contract (possibly longer for the right candidate.)

Candidate will define, enhance, maintain, and execute to the company?s Software Configuration Management plans, work instructions, and release processes within an FDA guided Design Control environment. Primary activities include:
1.Configuration/development/deployment of existing (newly installed) SCM toolset to support reliable, repeatable, and auditable software change history, issue/defect workflows, and release workflows.
2.Build/complete release process checkpoint criteria in support of the Quality System.
3.Collaborate with key QA & Design Engineers to enhance/define existing/new SCM workflows, checkpoints, and release package attributes.
4.Maintain, train, enhance, and support the use/expansion of SCM Tools: Surround SCM and Test Track Pro.
5.Develop, implement, and maintain Requirements Management tools, procedures, workflows, and traceability-audits from Product-level and Hazard-Mitigation-level Requirements to objective test results that show compliance to requirements.

Key Skills:
a.Demonstrated experience/knowledge of Software Labeling, Branching, and Release procedures.
b.Demonstrated ability to manage the build, versioning, and release of large scale heterogeneous software systems.
c.Clear understanding of Defect & Issue Tracking within the SW Release workflow: identify/track ownership, resolution plans, branch management, and re-release.
d.Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to author technical documentation, manage review meetings, and train engineers on SCM standards & workflows.
e.MicroSoft Visual Studio hands-on debug/release build experience, particularly using C#/.Net, C++, or equivalent assemblies.
f.Ideally, recent (in last 2 yrs) measurable experience configuring/using Seapine SCM Suite
