JOB SUMMARY: SR. CARE MANAGER – Chemical Dependency – Intensive Out Patient Program (CD-IOP)
The Sr. Care Manager, CD-IOP is responsible for the following areas:
1. Development and Implementation of a CD IOP Program, sited in Oakland, CA.
2. Oversight and case management of the DCS DUIP 30-Month Program Participants
3. Oversight and case management of the DCS PC-1000 Program Participants
4. Telephonic and face-to-face assessment of identified High Risk Program Participants
5. Provide Individual AOD assessments
6. Development and Presentation of a Monthly Training Series designed to provide basic counseling tools to the DCS AOD Counselors
Position also requires program development within the context of on-going programs and the development of new services. The position is responsible for developing and implementing forms, policies, procedures, and a curriculum, which will result in high quality services, fiscal stability, and administrative efficiency and standardization.

Education:
Minimum requirement
Graduate degree in a behavioral health field from an accredited college or university.
License/Certification:
California Clinical Licensure: MFT, LCSW or PhD
Certified AOD Counselor or equivalent case work
Experience:
Three to five years of work experience in the behavioral health field, specifically in the area of Substance Abuse.
Two + years program development and marketing experience preferred.
Two years experience in clinical supervision, staff management and fiscal operation of a staff model desired.
Experience in credentialing.
Experience managing a staff of more than five associates, including hiring, providing disciplinary action, performance management, coaching and goal setting.
Experience developing and marketing programs, forms, and curriculum.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Valid CA Driver’s License and ability to travel 25%.
Ability to keep accurate, legible written records.
Listen and communicate professionally, deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities.
Solve problems independently.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Facilitate meetings and provide training in a didactic setting.
Ability to work independently, making appropriate decisions, prioritizes, and keeps accurate and legible written records.
Bilingual - Spanish/English preferred.
