Security Forces Analyst

Battelle is a world leader in science and technology research. Battelle's Research, Testing, Analysis and Support (RTAS) Group provides specialized support to the Department of Defense and other government agencies. RTAS is seeking a Security Forces Analyst to support ongoing efforts at Headquarters, United States Marine Corps (HQMC).

The position will be based on-site with the client in the Pentagon. This is a salaried, full-time position with compensation based on qualifications and experience. Occasional local travel within the Washington, DC/Quantico, VA area and occasional domestic travel to other locations are expected. A full benefits package will be provided. Relocation is not available.

The position will work with and in support of the Security Forces (Interagency) Action Officer, Homeland Defense Branch (PSH), Security Division (PS), Plans, Policies, & Operations (PP&O), coordinating service level activities for Marine Corps Security Forces (MCSF), Marine Security Guard Battalion (MSG), the Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF), and Anti-Terrorism Battalion (AT Bn).

Primary job responsibilities include:
Monitor and analyze the full range of activities of MCSF, MSG, CBIRF, and AT Bn to identify service level issues with doctrine, organization, training, materiel, logistics, personnel, and facilities. Assess alternatives and support the development and presentation of recommendations.
Support related staff activities within HQMC, the Combatant Commands, Marine Forces, Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the other Services, the Department of State, and the Department of Energy.
REQUIREMENTS


Required Qualifications:
Experience with one or more of: Marine Corps Security Forces, Marine Security Guard Battalion, Chemical Biological Incident Response Force, Anti-Terrorism Battalion.
Knowledgeable of current principles and policies as they relate to the mission, doctrine, functions, and organization of security forces and security guards.
Able to expertly interpret broad guidance contained in various directives in order to analyze impact on security forces programs.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Able to build and maintain effective professional relationships with mid-level and senior DoD and other agency personnel.
DoD Secret clearance required prior to hire.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision, adjusting to changing client focus and priorities.
