DISPATCHER

SUMMARY: Receives, records, and distributes application work orders to specialist upon customer request for service.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


The essential duties and responsibilities are listed below. Other duties may be assigned.


· Schedules and prints production and service calls then dispatches to specialists.


· Maintains service sheet record.


· Dispatches orders and relays messages and special instructions to specialists.


· Communicates with other departments to maintain route efficiency and high level of customer service.


· Communicates regularly with field specialists via radio.


· Updates schedules call ahead for printing.Job Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:


Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:


Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent.


REASONING ABILITY:


Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
