Job Description
•Hours: Monday – Friday 10 AM – 5:30 PMSaturday 10 AM – 12 PM
•Two Thursdays (sometimes Wednesday or Friday) a month formal dinner (10 AM – 8 PM)
•Lunch hours 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM
•Dinner hours 5:30 PM – closing
•Formal dinner hours 8 PM dinner served
•Vacations include: 1 week in March, 3 months for the summer (mid May – August), ½ week for Thanksgiving, 4 weeks for Christmas (mid December – mid January). These are subject to change according to the Trinity school calendar and are determined by the Bursar
•Salary: $800/week with paid vacations excluding the summer
•Type of business: fraternity kitchen
oSaint Anthony Hall Eating Club is an eating club serving members of Saint Anthony Hall and select members of the Trinity student body. The kitchen hours are Monday through Friday 7AM – 11PM, Saturday –Sunday open 24 hours. The business is run by three board members, all St. Anthony Hall alumni, one student bursar, one chef, one assistant student bursar, and three student stewards. The number of members usually ranges from 35 – 65. The kitchen itself has recently been remodeled with nearly all new equipment and a new commercial grade floor.
REQUIREMENTS
Chef Requirements
•To cook lunch and dinner for approximately 35 – 65 students Monday through Friday, with a Saturday brunch and occasional formal dinner.
•To put out prepared lunch and dinner at the time advised by the bursar
•To clean all pots, pans, and utensils during the hours the chef works.
•To manage a weekly budget that the bursar assigns.
•To order all food, linens, kitchen supplies, and drinks weekly
•To schedule repairs for kitchen equipment when needed
•To maintain a healthy relationship with members of the eating club, bursar, assistant bursar, and stewards
•To keep the kitchen within health code standards
•To create a weekly menu that includes a variety of foods
•To meet once a week with the bursar
•To organize, with students, an end-of-the year clean-up of the kitchen and ensure that the kitchen is properly prepared for the summer months
