Shasta Head Start, a non-profit agency is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of young children, one family at a time. We provide opportunities for education, parenting support and resources to families in our community. Shasta Head Start is currently accepting applications for the following FT & PT positions in Shasta County Teacher: 30-40 hrs. Instructs 3-5 yr olds in activities to promote social, emotional, physical & intellectual growth. 12 ECE pref w/1 yr exp; or min of 9 ECE & 1 yr exp. (10.45-11.48/hr) Associate Teacher: 30-40 hrs Assists &/or instructs 3-5yr olds in clssrm. 6 ECE units & 1yr exp Or 12 ECE w/exp. (8.68-9.69/hr) Primary Caregiver: 40 hrs Feed, diaper & offer naps, etc. to infants/toddlers. Responsible for 3-4 children. 12 units ECE/CD, incl. core classes. 3 ECE must be related dir. to care of infants. 1 yr exp. w/ECE. pref. (10.45-11.48/hr) Classroom Aide: 16-40 hrs. Assists teachers w/classrm active. 6 ECE units req or must enroll in classes. Exp pref. (7.11-8.12/hr) Class Aide/Bus Monitor: 24 hrs. Assists teachers w/clssrm active. & assist on bus route w/children. 6 ECE units req or must enroll in classes. Exp pref. (7.11-8.12/hr) Bi-lingual Aide: Mien, Spanish & Punjabi: 24 hrs. assists child/ fam w/language help w/comm refs, child screening & assess. Attend mtgs & help in other areas that need assist w/language. (7.87-8.88/hr) Cook: 25-40 hrs. Pre meals/food for 0-5yr olds. Moni. food alerg/diet conditions, paperwork, hygiene regs, sterile/cleaning, cooking/fridge temps. Exp w/ordering/rec keeping, etc. 2 or more yrs of instit. cooking-groups of 20 or more (8.63/hr) Bus Driver: 25-40 hrs. Transp 3-4yr olds. Rec keeping. Must have Class B lic w/P endorsements, current school bus driver cert & completed 10 hrs of training before applying.
