Area Executive Director

Utilize your experience and leadership skills to promote the mission and vision of the American Cancer Society, as you accept Area-level accountability for hiring, training and managing a staff of 17. The hours are long, but the rewards are immeasurable! In this extremely time and labor intensive role, you and your staff will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, and training volunteers to implement and accomplish Program, Advocacy and Income Development goals of $2.5 Million. You will use your considerable interpersonal, influencing skills, and community knowledge to become the face of the American Cancer Society in Fort Lauderdale.
REQUIREMENTS
Proven leadership and management skills along with a substantial record of successful fundraising management required. Must show demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor and manage staff. Bachelor’s degree plus 5-7 years of fundraising, management and community organization experience is required. Extensive travel within assigned area.
