Staff Physician Rehab Med

DESCRIPTION: Full-time 40+ hours.Outstanding opportunity for BC/BQ physiatrist to join a dynamic and progressive practice in New England. Our practice anchors a center of excellence in rehabilitation that includes Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, a Top 100 teaching hospital/trauma center, The Rehabilitation Hospital, a 60-bed acute rehabilitation hospital, and a network of outpatient therapy sites. The position has a strong emphasis on outpatient musculoskeletal treatment, including sports medicine and pain management. The position also involves inpatient care, supported by physician extenders, and physiatry consultations. The ideal candidate will perform EMG's, botox/phenol procedures and joint/trigger point injections. Interventional pain skills are desired, but not required. The practice is located in Hartford, CT, with numerous cultural and recreational opportunities, excellent schools and easy access to New York and Boston. REQUIREMENTS
Education: Medical Degree. Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or an equivalent specialty.
Experience: Experience in Rehabilitation Medicine preferred.Licensure: Current license to practice medicine and prescribe medications in the State of Connecticut. Meets qualifications of the hospital's Credentials Committee.Skills: Ability to interact comfortably with patients, employers, department staff, and other physicians.
