Social Worker II

Experience amazing opportunities and outstanding rewards with the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine.Responsible for conducting psychosocial and mental health assessments, including the use of standardized screening and assessment instruments as indicated by the clinical supervisor. Develop a written, individualized, goal-oriented treatment/service plan on each patient which includes a needs assessment, community referrals and follow-up to services. Provide individual, couple, and family therapies, interventions, and/or services for these patients as indicated by the assessments and as specified in the treatment plan. Conduct home visits on active and potential patients to evaluate home settings and environmental safety.This position requires maintaining on-call responsibilities for active caseloads, participation in weekly mental health case conferences and making formal case presentations.


Requirements include a Master's degree in Social Work plus 1 year relevant experience to include experiece working with children and their families. Experience with HIV/AIDS patients preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Must have State of Florida Social Work License.The candidate must have a valid Florida Drivers License and current Automobile insurance. Any appropriate combination of relevant experience, education, or certifications will be considered.
