As part of this partner ship, we have adopted initiatives designed to make life healthier, simpler and less intimidating.POSITION GOALTo provide safe and therapeutic management of patient care to an assigned group of patients through utilization of the Nursing Process, in adherence to the Standards of Practice and policies and procedures and in collaboration with other members of the health care team.EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the ability to assess and interpret data, determine patient care requirements and deliver care relative to the patients age specific needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population. Current California State Registered Nurse Licensure. BLS Healthcare Provider StatusPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:Work is of medium demand, walking and standing most of the time on duty. Frequent lifting of patients with assistance. Frequent reaching and handling of instruments and equipment when attending to patient needs. Works inside. Varied temperature changes. Contact with water/liquids. Subject to noise and vibrations. Hazards include exposure to blood and body fluids, sharp objects and instruments, assorted chemicals as listed in the MSDS manual. Frequent contact with fumes, odors and exposure to vapors, mists and liquids. Use of personal protective equipment: In this position, occupational exposure to communicable diseases and blood/bloodborne pathogens requires the use of personal protective equipment to include gloves, gowns, goggles, masks and radiation measuring devices, when in the clinical setting.rn, registered nurse, nurse, intensive care, er, healthcare, medical, sub-acute, hospital.
