Hartford Hospital is an acute care hospital, located in the south end of Hartford Connecticut. The Hospital came into being in 1854 when a catastrophic explosion created the need to treat the many injured. In 1994, The Institute of Living, a psychiatric hospital founded in 1822, became the Mental Health Division of Hartford Hospital.
Today, Hartford Hospital is a major tertiary care and community health care center, serving a statewide patient population. Hours: Ft-40 hours. 36 MWW. Every other weekend and holiday.Manage and provide outcome-directed care to a diverse, critically ill patient population with highly complex unpredictable needs. Access and interact with other members of the health care team in developing plan of care to achieve desired patient outcomes. Provide direction to ancillary staff. Must be willing to participate in quality improvement activities, self-directed, and a team player.As a teaching hospital, Hartford Hospital is a primary affiliate of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Dentistry for both graduate and undergraduate medical education.

REQUIREMENTS
Current CT RN license. A minimum of one year medical or surgical experience required with excellent clinical performance record. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated flexibility, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills with an ability to function in an extremely busy environment.
