In 1994, The Institute of Living, a psychiatric hospital founded in 1822, became the Mental Health Division of Hartford Hospital.

Hours: 36 hours MWW D/EProvision of patient/family centered Orthopaedic care utilizing the nursing process by accurately assessing patients, planning care, interpreting data and documenting expected and actual outcomes. Delegate to and supervise unlicensed personnel. Provide and model customer service in all encounters. Contribute to continuous unit improvement through participation in unit based shared governance councils.As a teaching hospital, Hartford Hospital is a primary affiliate of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Dentistry for both graduate and undergraduate medical education.

REQUIREMENTS
Current CT RN license required. BSN preferred. At least one-year experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred but new graduates are welcome. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrates flexibility, organizational and problem-solving skills, with an ability to function in a fast paced environment. Desire to be a strong contributor in a team environment. Experience in specialized orthopedic joint patients preferred. Must display service excellence behaviors as evidenced by past performance. Must demonstrate ability to anticipate customer service needs.
