RN - Endoscopy

SUMMARY
Position reports to the Endoscopy Department Manager. Incumbent is responsible to assist the physicians in all surgical procedures in the department. Demonstrates the ability to assess the full scope of patient needs, using the nursing process on a continuous basis.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITY
Must possess the skills and ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with medical, administrative staff, patients and the public.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 100 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Two years of experience working as a RN including some medical/surgical experience and awareness of the needs of a surgical unit.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Degree or vocational training in Nursing


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures related to medication dosages, and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and area.


CERTIFICATE, LICENSES AND REGISTRATION
State of Florida License as a RN/LPN BLS/CPR; ACLS preferred.
