RN Electrophysiology 32 hrs

DESCRIPTION: Part-time 32 hours, days, Monday to Friday.This position is responsible for the provision of nursing coverage and deliverance of safe patient care to the adult patient under the direct supervision of a physician. These responsibilities including assisting in invasive cardiology procedures, hemodynamic and patient monitoring, patient education and medication administration, use of radiological imaging equipment, film development, set up of sterile fields.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:RN from an accredited school of nursing.Experience: 1-2 years cardiac critical care-broad base knowledge of complex arrhythmias. CPR/BLS required, and/or ACLS required in applicable clinical areas.Licensure:Current Connecticut licensure in nursing.Skills: Ability to make quick, knowledgeable decisions in crises and to anticipate the cardiologist's needs, as well as to interpret data during invasive procedures. Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department computerized system and its associated devices.
