REQUIREMENTS
The Florida Hospital Cancer Institute, treating more newly diagnosed cases than any other program in the state, offers more than the latest advances in technology and therapies. In addition to many unique programs, we offer the only pediatric and adult bone marrow transplant unit of its kind in the Orlando area. Being the third largest cancer program in the nation and having participated in over 680 advanced clinical trials, our patients are among the first to benefit from new treatment options. And, according to a recent Gallup survey, Florida Hospital Oncology Nurses ranked among the top 20 percent in the country for care and compassion.

Florida Hospital serves more cancer patients than any other facility in the state. Since 1989, the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute's (FHCI) clinical Research Center has offered patients access to more than 100 clinical trials for all types of cancer at any given time. Supported by the services and medical staff at the FHCI, the Clinical Research Coordinators work closely with the physicians and patients to provide an important component of comprehensive cancer care. The FHCI is a flagship member of the Duke Oncology Consortium and recently became the first site east of the Mississippi to participate in UCLA/TORI Network.

The Protocol Research Nurse is a professional registered nurse who possesses knowledge, as well as, demonstrates the ability to facilitate, implement, and manage oncology patients entered on sponsored and cooperative group clinical trials. Specific age groups are identified in the position responsibilities. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
