NURSE EPIDEMIOLOGIST
The William W. Backus Hospital located in Norwich CT has a current opening for a Nurse Epidemiologist. This position will oversee the infection control process and manage the surveillance of infections in patients and Hospital personnel for a defined age-specific population according to Hospital and department procedures. In addition, they interpret and implement isolation/precaution procedures and aseptic technique.
Qualifications include current licensure as a RN in the State of Connecticut. Three to five years previous experience in an acute care setting preferred. Certification in Infection Control is a plus. This is a Benefited Part-Time 32-Hour Day position. We offer a competitive salary with a comprehensive benefits package. We are a 213-bed acute care community hospital providing a broad range of medical services and the only Level II Trauma Center East of the Connecticut River.
