Charge Nurse, RN
Org Marketing Statement The Level III Charge Nurse functions under the UEXCEL Professional Practice Plan as an advanced clinical nurse who holds demonstrated abilities to provide leadership for the continuity and operations of the clinical service, to maintain patient safety and optimal care delivery. The Level III Charge Nurse uses advanced Nursing Practice Competencies to advocate and to intervene on behalf of the patient, family, and others significant to patient, to achieve optimum health outcomes. The Level III Charge Nurse exercises advanced Leadership as part of the multidisciplinary team within five domains: Challenging the Process, Inspiring a Shared Vision, Enabling Others to Act, Modeling the Way, and Encouraging the Heart. The Level III Charge Nurse incorporates lifelong learning and advanced competencies, modeling this to the Care Team, as a part of his or her Professional Profile, and promotes research, evidence-based practice and the UCH Quality model into Practice Outcomes.The Level III Charge Nurse provides advanced leadership for staff at the point of patient care to advocate safe and optimum outcomes. The role includes managing the provision of adequate resources, including the equitable distribution of work by matching assigned provider competency to patient needs, intervening to obtain functional and safe Care Team communication patterns, using advanced skills to solve complex patient and management problems, and by actively coaching and developing staff.
Minimum Education: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado; Demonstrates ability to meet the position requirements. Credentialed at Level III through the UEXCEL Practice Plan.
Minimum Experience: 1 year experience in related clinical areas
Testing Required.
Conditions of EmploymentAs an Employee you will need to be able to exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
