Cardiac Rehab/Stress Registered Nurse

Functions efficiently and appropriately in assigned work area to ensure smooth operation of the unit and quality care. Functions appropriately in emergencies. Determines correct test by evaluating suitability and patient’s ability, verifying physician’s orders and communicated any variance to physician prior to test. Explains test to patient appropriately for age. Collects and documents baseline history and medications. Performs test prep according to policy. Notifies physician when test can begin. Conducts test portion of test and documents according to policy and guidelines. Maintains patient safety through proper instruction and close supervision at all times, giving support appropriate for pt age. Assesses patient condition prior to discharge from unit to ensure patient safety. Demonstrates proficiency in lead placement. Recognizes and reports arrhythmias immediately. Facilitates efficient patient flow through the testing unit.

Position is 2-3 days per week in stress lab and patient education. Eight hour shifts. Actual days of the week can vary. Occasional weekend day required once every 6 weeks.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or seeking reciprocity from another State.

Must have recent hospital experience (past 3-4 years).

Must have at least 1 year Rehab or Stress Lab experience.
