Behavioral Health Specialist- LMHC, LCSW or LMFT

If you aspire to maximize your potential in an environment where your contributions are appreciated for the profound impact they have on your patient's lives, MHM Services may well offer the opportunity you seek.This is work providing psychological assessments using tests, interviews, and behavioral observations; or providing psychological assessments and treatments under the technical direction of a doctoral level psychologist. The employee in the position must spend a minimum of 75 percent of their time performing duties which involve contact with patients/inmates in a correctional or forensic facility or institution.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
-Analyzes psychological aspects of individual interrelationships to gain understanding of an individual's thoughts, feelings and behaviors.-Interprets test results in the light of standard norms and limitations of tests in terms of validity and reliability.-Prepares reports on psychological examinations for incorporation into psychiatric findings and or eventual use in diagnosis and treatment.-Conducts interviews and conferences with parents, social workers, nurses, and school and court authorities regarding psychological tests and interview findings.-Cooperates with and gives services to other state agencies.-Performs related work as required.
REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the theories and principles of clinical, counseling or behavioral psychology.Knowledge of psychological testing principles and practices.Ability to administer and interpret psychological tests.Ability to prepare psychological reports.Ability to analyze and interpret psychological data.Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.Ability to communicate effectively.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be an LMHC, LCSW or LMFT in the state of Florida or a registered intern. Must also have a minimum of one year of experience in a related field. This position is part-time working 16 hours a week. The days are flexible during a Monday through Friday schedule.We offer a supportive, innovative, team oriented atmosphere and a very educational environment.
