Asst Nurse Manager Comm Med

DESCRIPTION: Full-time 40 hours, days.Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager assists in the management of unit personnel, the nursing unit environment, and collaborates with patients, families, peers, physicians and other members of the health care team in the delivery of health care services to all ages of patients. The Assistant Nurse Manager provides direct care to patients based on patients' age, developmental level, and priorities. Position may require working at both campuses or alternate site.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesGraduate from an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred) with current Connecticut Registration.Pediatric experience and Adult Med/Surg experience required.Knowledge of current nursing, medical and health trends and practices.Demonstrates clinical competence in utilization of the nursing process in rendering of patient care.Demonstrates leadership and management skills including communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.Ability to act in a professional capacity and serve as a professional role model.
