Training Technician, Drop Off Center (P/T)

The mission of The Arc of Monmouth is to improve the lives of persons with mental retardation and their families. This is accomplished through advocacy, services and supports, cooperation with community partners and community education. The Arc of Monmuth also works to prevent the causes and effects of mental retardation1. Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team in the development & implementation of Individual Service Plans for the individuals served.2. Implement methods & techniques to attain the ISP objectives for the individuals served.3. Train groups or individuals with developmental disabilities in social & Leisure skills, as well as community integration.4. Provide personal assistance as needed (e.g., showering, toileting, or feeding individuals)5. Implement behavior management plans to order to maximize individual's strengths & minimize undesirable behaviors.6. Complete written documentation including ISP's, meeting minutes, progress notes & written reports.7. Maintain an orderly & safe work environment in accordance with standards which govern the program.8. Inform supervisors of safety hazards, unusual incidents, & other potential problems.9. Attend team meetings, department meetings, staff training and other sessions as required.
REQUIREMENTS
A.A. Degree or 60 credits towards undergraduate degree in psychology or related field or experience in working with developmentally disabled individuals.Valid NJ Driver's License and a driving record that is acceptable to Arc and its insurers.
