Therapist-CARE Program

The Children's School Based Services program is currently seeking a Clinical to perform the following job duties:

*Identify strengths, competencies, and therapeutic needs of individual students based on a comprehensive assessment of functioning at school, home, and in the community.
*Create comprehensive plan for each student to improve functioning at school, home, and in the community.
*Implement identified therapeutic interventions which may include but are not limited to individual student contacts, group therapy and recreational group activities, parent meetings, and family counseling. These interventions will occur at school or in the community.
*Assist the classroom teacher and mental health worker in implementing academic and recreational activities.
*Ongoing communication with all CARE team members who will be assisting in implementing therapeutic interventions.
*Implement crisis intervention techniques, as needed, to manage problem behaviors.
*Provide consultation to school staff, as needed, to decrease barriers to learning for individual children.
*Support the CARE program mission to actively involve parents and families in all aspects of the intervention plan.
*Attend CSAP meetings, as requested by school personnel.
*Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
*Attend CARE team meetings and supervision, as scheduled by Clinical Manager or School Based Director.
*Additional responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Regional Director of School Based Services or the Associate Executive Director.

REQUIREMENTS
*Master's degree in a behavioral science discipline from an accredited university or college required.
*Knowledge of child/adolescent development and experience working with adolescents, children, and families with mental health, and other emotional and behavioral concerns required.
*A minimum of 2 years experience working in a clinical or school setting required.
*Experience writing and implementing treatment plans required.
*Pennsylvania childline clearance required.
