Cornell Companies, a leader in the juvenile justice field, has an opening for a therapist at our Southern Peaks facility located in Canon City, CO., about 45 miles southwest of Colorado Springs and 30 miles west of Pueblo.

Our Therapists provide a full range of mental health treatment services to adolescents experiencing social, emotional, behavioral and psychiatric problems. Some of the specific job functions are as follows:Evaluate behavioral and emotional issues of clients and develop specific behavior modification for clients’ individualized treatment plan.Provide individual, family and group counseling under direction of an appropriate clinical supervisor as required and in accordance with the clients’ individualized treatment plan.Observe and document treatment interventions, behavior and client progression.
ACP, LMFT, or LPC license preferred. SOMB certification also a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
MA/MS in psychology, social work, counseling or other related field and minimum of 2 years related clinical experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age, criminal clearances (Act 33/34), and valid driver’s license. Pre-employment drug screening required.Please include salary history and requirements.
