The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations is nationally recognized for its progressive achievements in the accreditation process. As we continue our ongoing efforts of ensuring quality care, we are looking for surveyors with experience in home care. Interviews are being conducted for Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT), Rehabilitation Specialists and Home Medical Equipment Specialists. The class will be held October 22 - 28 in the Chicago area.

You will survey health care organizations throughout the United States. Apply systems analysis skills and inductive reasoning skills to determine health care organizations' degree of compliance with applicable standards and functionality of care delivery systems. Engage staff in interactive dialogues on standards based issues to assess compliance and to identify opportunities for improving compliance. Prepare management reports to link individual standards deficiencies with potential systems vulnerabilities and related risk points. Effective communicate this information to organization leadership.
REQUIREMENTS
RRT's must have a bachelor's degree and 5 years experience in home care respiratory therapy practice and 2 years management experience.
Rehabilitation Specialists must have a bachelor's degree and 5 years experience, of which 2 years must be in home medical equipment services, 2 years management experience in the provision of rehabilitation/mobility equipment. Need NRRTS, CRTS or ATP certification credential.
Home Medical Equipment Specialists must have a bachelor's degree and 5 years experience with a home medical equipment provider and 2 years management experience. Experience must include working for a home medical equipment organization providing a variety of durable medical equipment.
Current professional license/registration in discipline (when required by law) is necessary. Positions require 100% nation wide travel.
